The Dallas Dream Team is a group of women dedicated to expanding God's Kingdom. They understand that everything they have and own belongs to God and are ready to further the mandate of the Gospel.
The Dallas Dream Team is a sisterhood of women from all denominations united by our love for helping and serving people. Our purpose is to make annual financial contributions to selected Christian non-profit organizations. We pool our funds in order to help viable Christian non-profits expand their outreach in the Kingdom of God.
"With great power the apostles gave their testimony to the resurrection of the Lord Jesus, and great grace was upon them all. 34 There was not a needy person among them, for as many as owned lands or houses sold them and brought the proceeds of what was sold. 35 They laid it at the apostles’ feet, and it was distributed to each as any had need." Our Team:
The Dallas Dream Team was started by Liz Morris, also known as The Personality Doctor, after she participated in very dangerous street ministry on the streets of Dallas.
In fact, the street ministry was so dangerous she and the others had to have police surveillance the whole time at their first location. She encountered pimps, watchers, prostitutes, transvestite prostitutes, sex-trafficked girls, main line drug addicts, gang bangers, drug dealers and saw an actual prostitute get pimped out. She saw a young girl, 19 years old, find out she was HIV positive and freak out. She met a man with severe PTSD, and an older gentlman so driven by lust that he came just for the HIV testing to make sure he did not have aids becasue he had slept with so many women he could not even count them all.
She talked at length with a man so addicted to porn, he was now homeless and living right next to a huge porn video store underneath an 18-wheeler truck. She had girls approach her for food that could barely stand up due to drugs use, mainly herion, after being prostituted out all night. Many didn't even have on a pair of shoes.
She stood and fed people in a spot that has been deemed by Dallas police, the most dangerous area in Dallas, where just 2-days before she was there, someone had been shot and killed and there was a memorial already there for all to see.
But that day, God showed up. The team had never rescued anyone before that day. Liz really believes it was the presence of the Holy Spirit and the prayers of friends and family before she went, that allowed those people's demons to be at bay, so God could rescue.
And rescue GOD did, FIVE people were taken off the streets that day. One, a gang banger prostitute, who had actually killed people, another a drug addicted prostitute who had been sold here in sex slavery from Mexico, also on drugs. And lastly, two transvestite prostitutes and a call girl.
"I will never forget looking into the transvitie prostitue's eyes and seeing him with the love of Jesus. It was truly amazing. The Lord even gave me a heart for the pimps, as they are just as troubled. The compassion of Christ brought me to tears once we got back in the van. I knew immediately I had to start making a difference in my community. I am grateful for this experience because it literally changed my heart about serving, giving and loving people very different than me. And I hope it will yours." Liz Morris
Several weeks later, Liz was able to go and visit two local shelters of sex trafficked girls and minister to them and take part in their recovery. Next she went to a couple of women's shelters and taught them about their purpose, personality and destiny. Who they are and who they could be through Christ.
From these moments of rescue and hope, knowing she knew plenty of other women who would also love to give hope and help, The Dallas Dream Team was born.
